The Amur Commercial and Industrial Chamber proposes to build the cable way across the Amur River. The opportunity of enlarging the Priamurye boundary transitions and improving their work were discussed at the round table. One of the reports was devoted to the cable way project. It is proposed to build the funicular across the boundary river.

It will be in great demand especially in autumn and spring, when the air-pillow boats go across the border. One will reach the opposite bank in a 20-seater cabin. The cargo will be carried separately. There is no drawings yet, and the site for the cable way is not also chosen but they speak about the would-be investors. The cable way will be worth 250 million roubles. All the expenses will be paid back in a year in case of trouble-free operating.

"We have some offers from those who wish to invest into this project, but the Area Administration with the Governor at the head should express its political will," Valeriy Izhendeev, the Head of the agency on investments, innovations and development told.
